Beasts of prey- Poem

I’m just a sheep disguised as a wolf,
but I’ve learned the lupine ways,
to devour you ravenously
is a dutiful pleasure
that I draw from you.

But I still remember
when I was virgin wool,
immaculate white, pure
ideals and sorrows.

So while I sink my teeth in you,
remember me, virgin as wool,
shy as a lost sheep,
your lupine blood
staining my sheepish soul.
