When the IMF isn’t in the news anymore – by Juan M.S.

When the IMF isn’t in the news anymore,

I’ll be able to go to the market

and buy food that does not lack somewhere else,

and I’ll travel on foot, by air or by imagination

all around the world without need of a visa.

When finances be a simple subject of studies

and it stops being wielded against peoples and nations

I’ll walk across cities that are no one’s dominion,

and my window will open to hope and freedom.

When happiness cannot be encrypted in a credit card

and you happen to love staying more than leaving

and the energy you’d spend running is consumed daring

to live here and now without speculations,

then the IMF won’t be in the news any longer..
