Paraphrasis of the 9th poem in 20 love poems and a song of despair by Neruda – by Juan M.S.

Drunk with liquor and a longing for desires

I address this verses to your slippery body

that swims towards me in the abysmal night

and contrapts itself to my body

just to resurface unscathed

to a delta of flowing insecurities.

But if the ebb of resistance brings you back

to my hooks that perpetuate the dance

of your coral flakes in my hands,

then I’ll wrap you in my nets

and let you loose at random

in one of the endless aquariums

that have eyes for crystals.
